I want to help everyone play smart and enjoy the game with lower scores. On this page I'll display some golf tips you can use every round.

#1 GOLF TIP: Always do light stretching prior to hitting balls.  Use two clubs together and make a few long slow swings.  Adding the weight of the second club will make it easier to swing your driver, long irons, and woods.

#2 GOLF TIP: Lob Shots over trouble (depending on your lie) whether it's a greenside bunker, trees, or water should be hit with a wide open club face (facing the sky) Take a full swing to a high finish and trust it!

#3  GOLF TIP:  Golf is a game of opposites, to hit high you must hit down on the ball with a steep angle just like in a greenside bunker.

#4 GOLF TIP:  To put right spin on the ball for a fade, aim left of your target and swing along your feet line with a slightly open club face and/or a weaker left hand grip.

Quote: "You'll always look up early to see a bad shot.  Stay down and extend through your swing!

WARM UP

It is important to stretch before hitting your first shot.  Even if you're late for the Tee and don't have time to warm up, tee off last in your group and take a moment to stretch.

I usually like to hang from the side of the cart with my knees bent to stretch my back.

Then take a long iron and grabbing both ends try to touch the ground and stretch those hamstrings.  Lower back injuries are connected to tight hamstrings, so don't forget them.

Next, (with the club over your head) bend to the sides and relax those lats!

Finally, take another long iron and swing with both clubs a few times.  The additional weight will make your driver feel light when it's your turn to hit.
